Châtillon
Châtillon stands in the central Dora Baltea valley, at the entrance to the road towards the Matterhorn. The old village and Chameran are divided by the Marmore stream, with bridges recalling the town’s historic role as a crossing point. Castles and towers mark the surrounding slopes: Ussel Castle overlooks the settlement, while Gamba Castle houses modern and contemporary art. Higher hamlets reveal the more rural side of the area.
